Are white South Africans being persecuted? Testing the "white genocide" and Afrikaner refugee claims

The US is resettling Afrikaners as refugees, citing race-based persecution and land seizures, and raised its refugee ceiling to 17,500 in May 2026 for that purpose. South Africa, its police data and independent fact-checkers say farm violence is real but not racially targeted and that there is no genocide. The evidence supports the existence of brutal farm crime, not a campaign against a racial group.

Palestine Action ban: counter-terrorism measure or crackdown on protest?

The UK proscribed Palestine Action as a terrorist group in July 2025 after activists damaged military aircraft. The High Court ruled the ban unlawful in February 2026, but the Court of Appeal reversed that in June, while accepting it may chill lawful speech. More than 3,000 people have been arrested, many at sign-holding protests, and a Supreme Court appeal is being sought.

Lucy Letby: proven serial killer or miscarriage of justice? Where the case stands

Lucy Letby is serving whole-life orders after juries convicted her of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder others, and the Court of Appeal refused to hear her appeals. An international expert panel says the medical evidence does not support the convictions, and the CCRC is still reviewing her case. The Thirlwall Inquiry reported on Sept. 15, 2026 on hospital failings but did not address her guilt.

The case against Tyler Robinson, accused of killing Charlie Kirk: what the record shows so far

Tyler Robinson, accused of killing Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in September 2025, was ordered to stand trial on seven charges on Sept. 1, 2026 and pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors cite video, DNA and alleged messages, while the defence disputes the DNA evidence and the motive. No trial date is set, and online theories about other shooters have no support in the record.

The Lindsay Clancy case: postpartum psychosis or criminal responsibility?

No one at trial disputed that Lindsay Clancy killed her three young children in Duxbury, Massachusetts in January 2023. The question was whether postpartum mental illness left her not criminally responsible, and the jury deadlocked 11 to 1 in favour of that finding, leading to a mistrial on Sept. 4, 2026. A Nov. 2 hearing will take up a double jeopardy motion and a possible retrial date.
